Requirements
Section titled “Requirements”Validated with Ruby 3.2.3, Jekyll 4.4.1, and Bundler 4.0.23. The Jekyll starter uses bundle exec jekyll build to generate the _site directory.
-

Terminal window jekyll new <project> < /dev/nullcd <project> -
Install the project dependencies:
Terminal window bundle install -
Preview the deployment:
Terminal window leaf deploy --dry-runExpected output:
Framework: JekyllPackage manager: noneBuild command: bundle exec jekyll buildOutput directory: _siteFiles: 8Total size: 61570 bytesDry run: nothing was uploaded.A real deploy prints
✓ Live at <url> (<files> files, <uploaded> uploaded)instead of the final dry-run line.
What LeafCloud detects
Section titled “What LeafCloud detects”Jekyll; bundle exec jekyll build; _site.
Common problems
Section titled “Common problems”No Jekyll-specific refusal was captured in validation. If the output directory contains no files, ensure the project has a page such as index.markdown and that bundle install completed successfully.
For agents
Section titled “For agents”Run leaf deploy --dry-run --json first.
Check the exit code and stop if the JSON contains "error".
After a successful dry run, run leaf deploy --json --yes.
Never print credentials.
